Long overdue

I havent blogged for AGES!!! felt sooooooooooooooo lazy at times...and was just plain busy at times too! So I have finally come home after a year and now that I have time, I can blog. Going back in time to DECEMBER.....

p.s. the date on top is wrong! I blogged today....on the 8th of Feb...hmmm wonder why....
FRASER ISLAND TRIP WITH FAMILY

We drove thru a few towns and stopped at some beach towns to take in the view and have a cuppa on the way to Rainbow Bay

So we stayed at Rainbow Bay for two nights. Rainbow Bay is one of the closest gateways to Fraser Island.

Our mode of transportation for Fraser Island....you cannot go on the island in any ol car, has to be a 4 wheel drive! why?? coz its and island, with no roads...just the beach and gravel roads to drive on...

Road leading into the Island...man what a bumpy ride!! the road may look smooth from far..but oh boy it was soooooooooooooooooo bumpy, we were being thrown from side to side...our butts and back were so so sore afte the trip..but what an adventure!

See now why strictly 4 wheel drives only!!! it began pouring so hard halfway thru the day..and this French group of travellers got stuck in the mud! my unlce,cousins and brothers got down to help



An amazing experience..driving on the beach! during low tide of course...

Then the weather turned!! when we left in the evening it rained...and the tiede was coming up ..and we were like zooming off the island as fast as we could!!

Just 5 days or so after our trip..a storm alert hit the island..and everyone was asked ot evacuate, we were lucky!

All in all it was a very nice trip..so different from our usual trips..this was anail bitting, adrenaline filled and sore butt kinda trip!
